What is Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)?
RTM is a set of CPT® codes introduced in 2022 to support remote monitoring of musculoskeletal and respiratory patients. These codes allow for reimbursement when tracking non-physiologic data, such as musculoskeletal system status, which patients can self-report. Reimbursement rates vary by insurance provider and location.
